Established in 1958, The Railway Higher Secondary School, Palakkad, is a prestigious institution that has been serving the educational needs of students for over 63 years. As the sole Railway School in the state of Kerala, it operates under the patronage of the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. Initially, the school began as a primary school, approved by the Department of Education in 1981, offering Malayalam and Tamil as medium of Instruction. Over the years, the school has evolved to meet the changing educational landscape, and in 2002, it was upgraded to a Higher Secondary School, offering three higher secondary courses. In 2017,the School Switched over to CBSE curriculum syllabus
